The photos below illustrate a sampling of the ideas generated by Designing the Parks work session participants from Dec 9 through Dec 11, 2008. These ideas - shaped, framed and refined over three days - formed the basis for the six design principles that emerged from the Designing the Parks conferences.
Six design principles emerged from the rich and varied discussion that took place last year during Designing The Parks Part II at Cavallo Point. They are:

• Engagement of all people;
• Expansion beyond traditional boundaries;

• Informed decision-making;
